A Sweet & Fabulous Love Story: Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Wedding

Hollywood weddings are a source of inspiration for us all, regardless if we’re about to get married in the immediate future or if we are simple observers and admirers of the fabulousness that characterizes extravagant nuptials. Hollywood stud Channing Tatum and his gorgeous brunette wife Jenna Dewan met on the set of Step Up back in 2006 and they have been forming one of the most envied couples ever since. Back in 2008, the famous actor loved by women all over the globe popped the question to his soulmate and she said yes, all while vacationing in exotic Maui. The Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan wedding took place the next year, in July, 2009, when the two lovebirds said their 'I Do's' in a stunning ceremony followed by an equally fabulous reception.

The Ring

Channing asked the big question to his love as they were relaxing on a luxury vacation – but the most luxurious part of their holiday was definitely the breathtaking Neil Lane engagement ring. The massive diamond is not the only star of this amazing piece of jewelry – with an intricate and very detailed band, Jenna's ring is definitely one-of-a-kind and her husband definitely did a stellar job picking it. Further on, the two lovebirds opted for Neil Lane wedding bands in an equally glamorous style to match the stunning engagement ring.

The Venue, the Flowers and the Theme

Channing and Jenna got married in Malibu at a private estate with an ocean view – how positively dreamy! Filled with pepper trees, the southern Californian estate called Church Estates Vineyards was gorgeous and just right for an outdoor wedding. Mindy Weiss, the celebrity party stylist and coordinator suggested different themes and styles to the couple, but the winner of all was: fairytales! Opting for a fairytale wedding theme was definitely ambitious, but the results definitely exceeded the expectations. From the flower girls that sported wings as they walked down the aisle to the overload of flowers and Jenna's wedding dress, the entire theme was cohesive and spectacular. The reception took place in a tent with seats for all guests, decorated in the chosen colors: white, blush and fuchsia. Outside, the trees were also loaded with blush blooms, perfectly matched with Jenna's round bridal bouquet. The flowers were provided by Mark's Garden and the couple chose a combination of hydrangeas, roses and orchids – a highlight in Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan wedding.

The Dress

The 28 year-old bride looked positively breathtaking on her big day – but besides her natural beauty, the dress she chose played a role in her overall fairy-like look. Jenna picked a stunning Reem Acra wedding gown for her wedding day and she definitely made a statement that spoke of her love for fairies as she wore it. Strapless, with a sweetheart neckline and a tight bodice, the off-white dress ‘exploded' in thousands of feathery ruffles on the bottom. To complete her look, the actress went for a sweet updo style and a bouquet of white and pink roses, designed by the same Mark’s Garden.

The Groom

While the bride's entrance and look captivates all the guests and turns heads both in Hollywood and in the real world, the groom definitely requires some attention, too – especially when that groom is no other than stud Channing Tatum. On his wedding day, the then-29-year-old hottie wore a sleek and elegant Giorgio Armani suit with a crisp white tie and decorated with a white flower corsage, looked charming and handsome.

The Cake

No event is complete without a cake, and in the case of Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan wedding, fabulousness was the right word to describe their fairytale creation. The couple wanted a highly personalized and non-traditional cake, so they chose Cake Divas (now called Joanie and Leigh’s Cakes) from Beverly Hills to create their fairytale-inspired wedding delight: with a Castle of Magic shape and with decorative fairies, this delicious treat came with different flavors, ranging from chocolate fudge to red velvet and white funfetti icing.

The Honeymoon

After a fabulous wedding, an equally phenomenal honeymoon usually follows – and when it comes to these two lovebirds, they picked Bali as their ideal destination. And even though they had just formed their union by reciting their vows, the two newlyweds wanted to be connected in yet another way, so they chose to get matching tattoos on their honeymoon: his, on the ribcage and hers, on the foot, both saying: ‘Side by Side’. Matching tattoos are definitely a unique way to celebrate a union – and in the case of Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan wedding, they definitely marked the their devotion to each other.
